Итак, вчера у нас на Английском был урок о цензуре и её роли в обществе. Урок проводился в связи с прочтением книги - Фаренгей 451 Рея Бредбери. Учительница - ярый противник цензуры. На стене её кабинета висит плакат. Он оформлен как плакат в кабинете окулиста. На нём написано - "Цензура делает вас слепыми" (Censoring makes you blind) Она представила нам десятки самых запрещаемых книг за 2008, 2007, 2006 года, а такжесписок самых "зацензуреных" книг периода с 1991 по 2001 года. Привожу их ниже. Извините, что на английском. Боюсь неправильно перевести. Если заинтересует какая-то определённая книга, я о ней раскажу.
На самом деле книги запрещены не в смысле, что их нельзя читать. Некоторые из них запрещены для в публичных библиотеках и школах. Некоторые были обруганы, обплёваны и поданы на запрещение, но запрещены не были. Не которые были переписаны, чтобы быть "социально приемлимыми". Рейтинг составлен по количеству гневных писем с просьбой запретить книгу, а не по запрещению, как таковому. (Поищите, там в середине списка Гарри Поттер, а ближе к концу Марк Твен. Это при том, что Коельо, де Сад и т.д. там вобще не упоминаются!!!) (Я не против, де Сада. Это просто пример книги более подходящей для запрещения в публичных библиотеках)
